About Kendall

Kendall Knight built her legal foundation after completing undergraduate study in the life sciences. She earned a B.S. in Biological Sciences from Louisiana State University—Baton Rouge in 2013 and went on to receive a J.D. from Southern University Law Center in 2017. That combination of scientific and legal training has shaped her approach to cases that require careful attention to technical detail.

Knight began practicing law in Maryland, where she maintains an active bar membership. Early in her career she joined professional organizations that align with courtroom work, including the Maryland Association for Justice and the Maryland Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. She is also a member of the Montgomery County Bar Association and holds current membership in the Maryland State Bar. Those affiliations have provided a steady stream of continuing legal education and peer engagement since 2018.

Her practice has involved both criminal defense matters and civil litigation. Participation in criminal defense circles indicates experience handling charges on behalf of individuals. Membership in the Maryland Association for Justice signals work on behalf of plaintiffs in trial settings. Knight’s background in biological sciences can be an asset in cases that touch on medical or technical issues. She approaches fact investigation and witness preparation with an eye for evidence that may not be immediately obvious.

Colleagues describe Knight as practical and methodical in how she prepares files and presents arguments. She has taken part in motions practice and trial preparation, and she maintains a steady presence in local bar activities and legal education programs. That steady involvement has helped her build a network across both prosecution and defense communities in Maryland.

At Andrews, Bongar, Gormley & Clagett PA, Knight handles a range of matters that draw on her courtroom experience and scientific background. She works with clients from the initial intake through resolution, whether that occurs by negotiated settlement or through trial. Her days include legal research, client meetings, motion drafting and courtroom appearances when required.

Knight continues to develop her trial skills and stays engaged with professional groups that address criminal defense and plaintiff litigation issues. Her current practice concentrates on civil litigation and criminal defense matters at Andrews, Bongar, Gormley & Clagett PA.
