About Ken

Ken Tsiprin followed a path from economics to law. He completed undergraduate studies in economics at the University of Washington School of Law, then earned his J.D. from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in 2003. The combination of an analytical undergraduate degree and legal training shaped a practical approach to client problems.

Early in his career he spent time in a large firm environment. In 2008 he served as a lawyer at K&L Gates LLP. That experience exposed him to complex transactions, firm systems, and the demands of multi-party matters. It also gave him a sense of how boutique practice differs from the corporate firm setting.

After those formative years he established his own practice. He operates Tsiprin Law Office, PLLC. The office serves clients in Washington. Running a solo or small-firm practice allowed him to take direct responsibility for case strategy, client communication, and courtroom preparation. Those are habits he maintains today.

Colleagues and clients describe his style as straightforward. He favors clear explanations over legal jargon. Depositions and court appearances are part of the work, but so are drafting documents and advising clients on procedural choices. He has handled disputes and transactional matters, often balancing litigation risk against business realities.

Outside the office he has kept ties to the legal community in Washington. His education and early firm experience inform how he mentors younger lawyers and approaches problem solving. He reads case law closely and prepares written arguments carefully. Those habits show up in pleadings and client memos.

Over time his practice evolved to emphasize personal service and direct client contact. He is comfortable in court and in negotiation. The move from a large firm to his own office reflects a preference for control over case handling and closer client relationships. He manages intake, case strategy, and client billing through his office.

He remains active in the practice of law in Washington and continues to represent individuals and businesses through Tsiprin Law Office, PLLC. He currently focuses his practice on legal matters arising under Washington law.
