About Kelsi Mari

Kelsi Mari Karim earned her J.D. from Ohio Northern University in 2004 after graduating magna cum laude with a B.S. in Accounting from the University of South Florida in 2001. She is licensed to practice law in Arizona. Her academic record pairs a technical undergraduate training in accounting with legal study, a combination that has shaped the way she approaches complex casework.

Karim began her legal career in public service. In 2006 she worked at the Gila County Prosecutor's Office and the following year she served at the Tucson City Prosecutor's Office. Those years in county and municipal prosecution exposed her to courtroom procedure and trial preparation. Also in 2007 she worked at Karim & Karim Lawyers, where she handled matters typical for a small law practice.

In 2010 she moved into personal injury work at Scott Reese Solicitors. The next year she handled personal injury insurance defense at Parabis and Plexus Law. Those roles gave her experience on both sides of personal injury claims, including defense strategies and claimant advocacy. The variety of matters broadened her litigation and negotiation skills.

By 2013 Karim was practicing immigration law at Karim Law. Her shift to immigration came after several years in litigation and regulatory environments. At Karim Law she has worked on immigration-related matters, drawing on her prior courtroom experience and her background in both prosecution and civil litigation.

Karim maintains several professional memberships. She has been a member of the Arizona State Bar Association since 2006 and belongs to the Arizona Women Lawyers Association and the Pima County Bar Association since 2007. She joined the American Immigration Lawyers Association in 2012 and the Maricopa Bar Association in 2012. Since 2013 she has been a member of the Arizona Modest Means Legal Services Foundation. These memberships reflect an ongoing engagement with bar activities and immigration practice networks.

Her career spans public prosecution, defense work in personal injury, and immigration practice. That range has exposed her to administrative hearings, civil litigation, and courtroom procedures. She brings that varied background to cases at Karim Law. She currently practices immigration law at Karim Law.
