About Kelsey
Kelsey Meyerkord built her path to the law through study and steady practice. She earned her J.D. from Saint Louis University School of Law in 2023 and completed a graduate minor in Women’s and Gender Studies. Before that she received a B.A. from the University of Missouri–Columbia in 2019, studying Women’s and Gender Studies and Philosophy.
Her earliest work at Meyerkord Law Group, LC began while she was still a student. In 2019 she joined the firm as a law clerk. That role placed her inside the daily mechanics of a small practice. She handled intake tasks and learned the firm’s approach to case preparation and client communication. The time provided a practical complement to classroom learning.
After finishing law school she returned to the same firm as an attorney in 2023. The move from clerk to lawyer was straightforward. Colleagues describe her as steady and attentive in client meetings. She has taken on the responsibilities typical of a small-firm attorney: court filings, drafting pleadings, and managing client matters through to resolution. Those duties require an eye for procedure and an ability to communicate clearly under deadline.
Meyerkord’s academic background in gender studies and philosophy shapes how she approaches legal questions. The coursework gave her tools for critical analysis and a perspective on how law affects different communities. She has shown particular interest in the intersection of legal rules and social contexts, though she does not limit herself to any single area of practice.
Licensed to practice in Missouri, Meyerkord maintains her office at Meyerkord Law Group, LC. She works with clients across matters that arise in state courts and administrative settings.
