About Kelsey Arnold
Kelsey Arnold Krapp built her legal foundation at the University of North Dakota School of Law, where she earned her J.D. in 2012 after beginning her studies in 2009. She came of age in law school during a period of sharp attention to regulatory and public-sector issues in the state. Her coursework and early practical experiences shaped an interest in how state rules affect local businesses and consumers.
While still in law school she worked as a legal intern for the North Dakota Public Service Commission in 2011. That placement gave her a front-row view of regulatory proceedings and the mechanics of administrative law. It also exposed her to the kinds of filings and hearings that touch utilities, transportation, and other regulated industries in North Dakota.
After graduating, Krapp entered private practice. She joined Zuger Kirmis & Smith as an associate in 2012. The next move in her early career came in 2014 when she served as an associate at Evenson Sanderson, PC. Those roles kept her rooted in state practice and allowed her to handle a range of matters for clients who needed counsel on everyday legal problems as well as matters connected to public regulation.
Colleagues describe her as practical and steady in handling client work. She maintains active membership in professional organizations, staying connected to peers and developments in state law. That network supports the work she does now and helps her track changes in rules and procedures that affect clients across North Dakota.
Krapp now practices from James Valley Law, PLLC. Her move there reflects a continued commitment to working with clients in the state where she trained and began her career. She brings the experience of both regulatory internships and several years in private firm environments to her current role, applying that background to the matters her clients bring her.
Kelsey Arnold Krapp is licensed to practice in North Dakota and maintains an active professional presence in the state bar community. Her current practice at James Valley Law, PLLC centers on serving clients in North Dakota and addressing the legal questions they face locally.
