About Kelly

Kelly Stone combines legal training and business-technology education in her day-to-day work. She earned her J.D. from the University of Tulsa College of Law and holds an MBA in Management Information Systems from the University of Tulsa. That academic pairing informs how she approaches problems that sit at the intersection of law, operations and technology.

After law school, Stone entered private practice. In 2022 she joined Carmel & Naccasha, LLP as a lawyer. The firm role gave her a direct path into client work and courtroom preparation. Early on she took on responsibilities that ranged from drafting pleadings to advising clients on procedural strategy.

Stone is admitted to practice in California and New Mexico. Those dual jurisdictions shape the geography of her work. She often navigates differences in state procedure and local court practice so clients do not have to bridge those gaps alone.

Her background in management information systems adds a practical angle to routine legal questions. She looks for operational facts that matter to a legal theory. That means paying attention to how a client’s systems, records and workflows will affect discovery, compliance and negotiation. She aims to present information clearly to judges, opposing counsel and clients. Stone also spends time preparing witnesses and assembling documentary records so that technical or business issues do not become hurdles in litigation or transactional work.

At Carmel & Naccasha, LLP Stone has worked on matters that require both legal analysis and administrative coordination. She writes memos and motions and meets with clients to map options and timelines. Colleagues describe her as thorough in preparing files and precise in written work. She balances attention to detail with an effort to keep clients informed about practical next steps.

Outside of specific casework, Stone’s combined legal and business education influences how she advises clients. She often frames choices in terms of legal risk and operational impact. That approach helps business owners, managers and individuals understand not only what the law requires, but how actions will play out in daily operations.

She currently practices at Carmel & Naccasha, LLP, where she represents clients in matters across California and New Mexico.
