Kelly Elizabeth Balamuth is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. She was admitted to the California State Bar in 1994. Her license is currently in active status. Ms. Balamuth is the founder and principal attorney at Balamuth Law, P.C., a law firm specializing in estate planning and probate matters. Ms. Balamuth earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, Davis, School of Law in 1994. During her time at UC Davis, she served as a Research Editor for the Davis Law Review. Prior to law school, she completed her undergraduate education at the University of California, Davis, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in English in 1991. She also attended the Trial Lawyers College in Wyoming in 2007, further enhancing her legal education.

Ms. Balamuth concentrates her practice in the areas of estate planning and probate law. She assists clients with drafting wills and trusts, asset protection, elder law, Medi-Cal planning, and guardianship arrangements for children. Her practice encompasses all stages of legal proceedings, including initial consultations, document preparation, negotiations, and representation in probate court proceedings.

Throughout her career, Ms. Balamuth has handled numerous cases in the Superior Court of California for the County of Contra Costa. She has also appeared before the United States District Court for the Northern District of California. Prior to founding her own firm, she worked as an associate attorney at Bancroft & McAlister, LLP, a law firm based in Walnut Creek, California. She has been recognized as a Super Lawyer every year from 2009 to 2026, an honor awarded to a select number of accomplished attorneys in each state.

Ms. Balamuth is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Association for Justice, the Contra Costa County Bar Association, the San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association, and the Consumer Attorneys of California. She served as the President of the Alameda Contra Costa Trial Lawyers Association, becoming the second woman to hold this position. She is also a member of Pi Beta Phi. In addition to her professional activities, Ms. Balamuth is involved in community service and enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and sailing.
