About Kelly A.

Kelly A. Cavanaugh trained as a lawyer in South Florida. She earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in legal studies from the University of Miami in 2004 and received her J.D. from Barry University Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law in 2008. Those years set a foundation for a career spent in Florida courts.

After law school, Cavanaugh established a practice in the state. She is admitted to the Florida bar and holds admissions to the U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Middle and Northern Districts of Florida. Those credentials have allowed her to handle matters at both the trial and federal levels.

Her work regularly involves courtroom appearances and filings in state and federal venues. She takes cases through pleadings, discovery and motion practice, and has experience managing the procedural demands of federal litigation. Clients come to her for direct representation in hearings and for strategy on next steps when disputes move beyond negotiation.

Cavanaugh joined Morris Law Group, where she is part of the team serving clients across a range of matters that require litigation in Florida courts. At the firm she works on cases that present procedural complexity and often require coordination across jurisdictions. Colleagues describe her approach as methodical: building a record, preparing witnesses, and addressing procedural hurdles early so cases can proceed efficiently.

Outside the courtroom she stays connected to developments that affect practice in Florida and federal courts. Maintaining admissions in three federal districts requires attention to differing local rules and deadlines. That ongoing work shapes how she prepares cases from the outset.

Clients who work with Cavanaugh can expect representation that reflects experience in both state and federal processes. She continues to practice in Florida and in the Southern, Middle and Northern Districts of the U.S. District Court for Florida. Her current practice is focused on litigation and courtroom representation in Florida state and federal courts.
