About Keith

Keith Leonard earned a Bachelor of Science from Old Dominion University in 2000 and completed his Juris Doctor at Wake Forest University School of Law in 2003. Those years set a quick pace for a career that moved from law school into courtroom work and firm practice without pause.

Fresh from Wake Forest, Leonard joined Sacks & Sacks, P.C. in 2003. He spent his early years learning the mechanics of litigation and client preparation. In 2005 he moved to The Law Offices of Steve C. Taylor, where he handled a range of matters and expanded his courtroom experience. Those formative stops gave him steady exposure to both trial procedures and the demands of client representation.

In 2007 Leonard became a partner at Huffman & Huffman Brothers-in-Law, PLLC. As a partner he took on greater responsibility for case strategy and file management. He also began supervising more junior lawyers and coordinating with opposing counsel and courts. The shift to partnership marked a transition from associate duties to practice leadership, though he continued to handle his own litigation docket.

Leonard is admitted to practice in Virginia and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. That combination has allowed him to work at both the trial level and on appeals. He maintains membership in the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, a forum that keeps him engaged with developments in litigation practice and procedural law. Over the years his work has involved frequent court filings and appearances, and he has navigated both bench hearings and jury trials as part of ordinary practice.

Colleagues describe him as steady in court and methodical in preparation. Clients have seen him handle complex schedules and follow cases through to resolution. He continues to base his work at Huffman & Huffman Brothers-in-Law, PLLC, where he balances casework, firm responsibilities, and mentoring younger attorneys. He concentrates on litigation in Virginia and matters before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
