About Keith L
Keith L Griffin built his legal foundation at Indiana University. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1991 and returned to the same campus for a J.D., which he received in 1997. Those years in Bloomington set the course for a career tied closely to Indiana law and state regulatory practice.
Early in his career he joined the Indiana Secretary of State’s Securities Division as an enforcement lawyer in 2000. In that capacity he handled investigations and administrative enforcement matters arising under state securities statutes. The job put him on the front lines of regulatory work and gave him direct experience with agency procedures, compliance reviews and the practical mechanics of securities regulation.
After his time in the public sector he moved into private practice. In 2003 he was an associate with Maddox Hargett & Caruso, PC. There he represented clients in matters that often intersected with regulatory and commercial issues. The move to private practice broadened his view of how businesses and individuals respond to enforcement actions and regulatory inquiries.
Griffin later established his practice under the name Griffin Law Office, LLC. He practices through that firm in Indiana. His career path ties together public enforcement experience and private representation. That combination informs how he evaluates regulatory risk and counsel clients when state agencies are involved.
Colleagues and clients describe him as a lawyer who understands the procedural side of enforcement and the practical needs of people facing regulatory challenges. He has experience drafting responses to agency investigations, negotiating resolutions and advising on compliance steps that aim to reduce future exposure. He applies that experience to matters that arise in state regulatory contexts and in business-to-business disputes that touch on compliance obligations.
He holds licensure in Indiana and continues to practice in the state. In his current work he focuses on securities regulation, regulatory compliance and related business matters under Indiana law.
