About Kayla
Kayla Drum built her legal foundation at two Pennsylvania institutions. She earned a B.A. from Pennsylvania State University at Greater Allegheny and completed her law degree at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2013. Those years set the stage for a career spent practicing in both state and federal courts across the commonwealth.
After law school, Drum gained admission to practice in Pennsylvania and to several of the federal trial courts that serve the state. Her admissions include the U.S. District Court for the Western, Middle and Eastern Districts of Pennsylvania. The record shows she has maintained those credentials while practicing in the region.
Her work has taken place at Kraemer, Manes, & Associates, where she is listed among the attorneys in the firm. Colleagues describe her approach as methodical. She prepares filings, appears in court and handles aspects of litigation that federal and state dockets require. The environments she works in demand attention to procedure and clear written advocacy. Drum’s background in local and federal practice reflects that balance.
Clients and opposing counsel see her most often in contested matters that proceed beyond negotiation. She spends time drafting briefs and motions, managing discovery and arguing for her clients’ positions at hearings. Those tasks require familiarity with both state rules and the procedures of the federal district courts where she is admitted. She has navigated case schedules and court rules that differ from one jurisdiction to another.
Outside the courtroom, Drum’s training at Pitt Law continues to influence her work. She draws on the practical training and clinic-style experiences common to the law school’s curriculum. The combination of a regional undergraduate education and a Pittsburgh law degree keeps her connected to the communities where she practices.
She remains active in litigation in Pennsylvania and in the U.S. District Courts for the Western, Middle and Eastern Districts of Pennsylvania. She practices at Kraemer, Manes, & Associates, where she represents clients in state and federal court litigation matters.
