About Katsiaryna
Katsiaryna Stelmakh built her academic foundation across two continents. She earned a Master’s degree in international law, with coursework in English and German, from The Belarusian State University in 1997. She then moved to the United States and completed a J.D. at The Ohio State University in 2002, followed by an M.A. in Slavic and East European Languages in 2003.
After law school, Stelmakh established herself in Pennsylvania, where she is admitted to practice. Her early academic training in international law and languages informed the practical path she followed. Those language skills and comparative legal study have shaped how she approaches cases and client communication.
In 2008 she opened Stelmakh & Associates and has led the firm since then. She handles matters that often cross borders and involve detailed procedural work. Working as the owner has meant managing both case strategy and the everyday obligations of running a small law office.
She is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. That affiliation connects her to a professional network and continuing training opportunities relevant to immigration practice. Her membership reflects a sustained engagement with developments in immigration rules and policy.
Stelmakh’s work draws on her background in international law and languages. She represents individuals and families in immigration-related matters, advises on document preparation, and assists clients through administrative processes. Her practice involves complex filings and close attention to regulatory details.
Her current practice focuses on immigration law, including family-based petitions, removal defense, naturalization applications and employment-based visa matters.
