About Katie
Katie Ross completed her legal education at Gonzaga University School of Law, earning a J.D. in 2015. She studied undergraduate political studies and justice studies at Westminster College, graduating in 2012. Those academic years set the foundation for a practice that moves between public service and private litigation.
Her career began soon after law school. In 2015 she joined Provident Law, PLLC as an attorney. The following year she moved to Elliott Law Group, where she continued to build courtroom and litigation experience. Those early positions gave her steady exposure to the practical demands of client work and case preparation.
In 2020 she entered government service as an Assistant Lawyer General at the Washington Lawyer General's Office. In that role she worked inside a large legal office handling matters on behalf of a state client. The position broadened her perspective on regulatory and governmental legal issues and added to her litigation background.
Ross returned to private practice in 2022 when she joined Kirkpatrick & Startzel, P.S. She spent a year there before beginning her current role at KND Law in 2023. Across those moves she has handled a mix of trial-level matters and courtroom proceedings, moving between firm environments and the public sector as cases and opportunities required.
She is admitted to practice in Washington and Idaho and holds admissions in multiple federal venues. Those include the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Washington and the U.S. District Court for the District of Idaho, as well as the Ninth Circuit. She maintains memberships in the Idaho State Bar, the Spokane County Bar Association, and the Washington State Bar Association.
Colleagues describe her as steady in court and attentive to procedural detail. Her work reflects practical courtroom experience and familiarity with both state and federal procedure. She has experience preparing matters for trial and handling filings in district and appellate settings.
She currently practices at KND Law, representing clients in matters brought in Washington and Idaho state and federal courts.
