About Katie
Katie Pilgren-Beatty built her academic foundation in history and law. She earned a B.A. in History from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania in 2008. She went on to complete a J.D. at Widener University Commonwealth Law School in 2010.
Her professional path led her to Karpf, Karpf, & Cerutti, P.C., where she became a partner in 2012. That role placed her firmly within the firm’s day-to-day management of matters and client representation. As partner, she has taken on responsibility for advancing files through litigation and coordinating with colleagues across a variety of assignments.
Pilgren-Beatty is admitted to practice in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey. She also holds admission to the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania. Those credentials allow her to handle matters that arise in state and federal forums in the region.
Her work at the firm includes appearing in state and federal courts across those jurisdictions. She manages filings, participates in hearings, and handles procedural and substantive aspects of litigation. Colleagues describe her as thorough in preparing matters for court and careful in assessing next steps for clients.
In the office, Pilgren-Beatty splits time between courtroom work and case preparation. She oversees discovery efforts, drafts motions, and collaborates on strategy with other attorneys at the firm. The partner role also involves mentoring junior staff and helping to allocate resources on complex matters.
Outside the courtroom, she stays connected to the legal community through professional membership, and she maintains the licensure required to practice in the listed jurisdictions. Her career reflects steady advancement from law school graduate to a leadership position at a regional law firm. She currently practices at Karpf, Karpf, & Cerutti, P.C., where her work concentrates on matters in Pennsylvania and New Jersey state and federal courts.
