Katie Jane Lamb completed her legal education at the University of Tennessee College of Law in 2014, where she concentrated in Advocacy and Dispute Resolution. She earned her undergraduate degree in Communication and Political Science from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 2011. Her academic path combined classroom training with practical advocacy courses that emphasized courtroom procedure, evidence and client representation.
After law school, Lamb began building a practice grounded in litigation skills. She is admitted to practice in Tennessee and in the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Her professional qualifications include the LexisNexis Professional Research Certification and commission as a Notary Public for the State of Tennessee.

She has been a member of the Defense Research Institute and the Tennessee Defense Lawyers Association since 2015. She also holds membership in the State Bar of Tennessee. Locally, she has served on the board of the Knoxville Bar Association since 2014, a role that connects her to lawyers across practice areas and local court practices.
At Frantz, McConnell & Seymour, LLP, she is one of the attorneys representing clients in civil matters. Colleagues describe her as prepared in hearings and methodical in case work. She applies litigation training acquired in law school to the practical demands of trial preparation and client counseling. Her notary commission and research certification support routine practice needs, from document authentication to legal research.
Her work includes drafting pleadings, conducting legal research and participating in depositions and hearings. She has developed familiarity with federal appellate procedure through admission to the Sixth Circuit and with Tennessee state courts through regular practice in the state. Her memberships in national and state defense organizations give her access to peer resources, continuing education and specialized industry materials.
Outside of litigation tasks, Lamb has taken part in local bar activities and continuing legal education programs. Her board role in the Knoxville Bar Association involves coordinating events and contributing to discussions about court rules and local practice trends. She currently practices at Frantz, McConnell & Seymour, LLP, handling litigation and trial preparation for civil defense matters.
