\n\nA graduate of Oklahoma City University School of Law, Kathryn earned her Juris Doctor in 1994. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Wisconsin, obtained in 1990. Her legal career began in Wisconsin, where she was admitted to the State Bar in 1994. She later expanded her practice to Michigan, becoming a member of the State Bar of Michigan in 1996.\n\nThroughout her career, Kathryn has been recognized for her dedication and expertise.
She has been selected to Super Lawyers from 2019 to 2025, a distinction awarded to a select number of attorneys in each state. Her firm is known for its compassionate approach, understanding that clients' cases are not just legal battles but life-changing events that can be emotionally traumatic.\n\nIn addition to her legal practice, Kathryn has pursued various certifications to enhance her skills. She is a Certified Probate and Estate Planner, a designation she received from the Michigan Institute of Continuing Legal Education in 2009. She has also undergone training in Alternative Dispute Resolution and Collaborative Attorney Training, equipping her to handle complex family law matters effectively.\n\nBefore establishing her own practice in 1999, Kathryn gained experience in various legal roles.
She worked with the Oklahoma State Department of Labor in the Wage and Hour Division and served in the Federal District Court handling Civil Rights Discrimination cases. Her private practice experience includes positions at Helmkamp, Ellis, Abraham & Demopoulos, focusing on family law, criminal law, real estate law. Estate planning, and at Asker, Chapp & Clos, specializing in family law and criminal law.\n\nKathryn's commitment to her clients is evident in her approach to legal practice.
