About Kathryn R.

Kathryn R. Eisenstein combines technical training in finance and taxation with legal training gained at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. She took a direct path through complementary disciplines. An undergraduate degree in economics and accounting preceded graduate study in taxation. That educational sequence shapes how she approaches legal work.

Eisenstein earned a B.S. in economics and accounting from the University of Michigan. She followed that with an M.S. in taxation from Walsh College. She completed her legal education at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. Those three institutions provided distinct perspectives: economic theory, applied accounting, and tax law. Together they form the academic foundation she brings to client matters.

After law school she joined Mantese Honigman, P.C. as an associate. At the firm she has handled matters that require attention to financial detail and regulatory compliance. Her background in accounting and taxation helps when cases turn on numbers, filings, or statutory interpretation. Colleagues describe her work as detail-oriented and methodical. She develops case theories by starting with the documents and working outward to the legal issues they expose.

Her mix of degrees informs how she reads complex material. An accounting ledger, a tax return, or a regulatory filing becomes a source of legal questions rather than only numerical data. That perspective is useful in disputes that hinge on financial records and in transactional work that requires drafting precise contractual and tax-related language. She also spends time on legal research and brief-writing to support those practical tasks.

Outside of client files she has worked on internal projects at the firm that involve cross-disciplinary coordination. Those projects often place attorneys next to accountants and tax specialists. Her academic and professional background makes that interaction smoother. She keeps current on tax rules and accounting developments that affect litigation and transactional practice.

Eisenstein’s practice sits at the intersection of law and finance. She applies her taxation training and accounting knowledge to legal problems involving financial detail and regulatory questions. She is an associate at Mantese Honigman, P.C., where her work draws on her economics, accounting, and tax education to serve the firm’s clients. Her current practice focuses on tax-related matters and financial aspects of client representation at Mantese Honigman, P.C.
