About Kathryn M.

Kathryn M. Stoehr combined a Midwestern undergraduate education with a Detroit law degree before stepping into practice. She earned a B.A. in Public Law from Western Michigan University and completed her J.D. at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. Those years set the foundation for a career spent in Michigan courts and in the federal courthouse in Detroit.

She holds admission to the Michigan bar and is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. Her professional memberships date back to 2012 and include the State Bar of Michigan, the Detroit Metropolitan Bar Association, the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan, and the Oakland County Bar Association. Those affiliations have kept her connected to local legal communities and continuing legal education opportunities.

Stoehr serves as an associate at Driggers, Schultz & Herbst. In that role she works on matters that bring state and federal practice together. Colleagues describe her as steady and thorough in court filings and client work. Her courtroom appearances and filings reflect the day-to-day demands of litigation practice in a busy regional firm.

Her education informs a pragmatic approach to cases. The public law background from Western Michigan University informs how she frames issues, and her law school training at University of Detroit Mercy reinforced advocacy and procedural skills. She draws on both when preparing pleadings, conducting discovery, and addressing procedural motions before judges and clerks.

Outside formal court work, Stoehr maintains ties to bar associations that serve metropolitan Detroit and Oakland County. She has kept active membership in groups that often provide networking, mentorship, and skills programs for lawyers at early and mid stages of their careers. That network supports her daily practice and helps her stay current on rules and local practice norms.

Her practice is based in Michigan, and she appears in matters before the Eastern District of Michigan as needed. She handles client representation at Driggers, Schultz & Herbst in matters brought in Michigan state courts and in the federal court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
