About Kathleen

Kathleen Nee earned her law degree from Roger Williams University School of Law, completing the J.D. program in 2014 after beginning her studies in 2011. Her training included a mediation certification from the same school, a credential she later integrated into her practice. Law school gave her the formal tools she would use at the outset of a professional career that moved quickly from graduate to practicing attorney.

She entered private practice in 2015 and established her practice under the name Nee Law LLC. That year marked the start of her public record as a lawyer and the beginning of the office through which she has accepted client matters. Her work since has been centered in the New England legal community, where she draws on both litigation experience and alternative dispute resolution skills.

Nee is licensed to practice in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island. She has maintained professional ties in Rhode Island since early in her career. Those ties include membership in the Rhode Island Association for Criminal Defense Lawyers, a group she joined in 2014 and remains involved with. The membership indicates ongoing engagement with peers who handle criminal defense matters and related courtroom practice.

Her mediation certification from Roger Williams University School of Law complements courtroom work by offering another path for resolving disputes. That training equips her to serve as a neutral in mediations or to represent clients who seek negotiated outcomes outside trial. Colleagues and clients have noted that this combination of litigation readiness and dispute-resolution training shapes how she approaches cases.

Over the past decade she has managed a private practice through Nee Law LLC. The firm has been the primary vehicle for her professional activity since 2015. Through it she accepts client matters arising in the jurisdictions where she is barred. The practice has evolved to accommodate both courtroom advocacy and negotiated settlements, depending on the needs of individual clients.

Her career shows steady involvement in local legal networks and steady application of skills gained at Roger Williams University School of Law. She continues to practice law in Massachusetts and Rhode Island, handling client matters through Nee Law LLC and using mediation as one of the tools available to resolve disputes. Her current practice focuses on representing clients in matters arising in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
