About Kathleen

Kathleen Hoyos earned her J.D. from Georgia State University College of Law in 2016. She completed a rigorous curriculum and entered the profession at a time of steady change in legal practice. Her legal education provided training in research, advocacy and transactional drafting, tools she would rely on throughout her early years in practice.

After graduation, Hoyos moved into roles that allowed her to develop practical courtroom and office skills. Early assignments involved legal research, drafting pleadings and advising clients on procedural matters. Those years taught her how to translate complex statutes and case law into clear advice for people facing real legal choices. She learned to balance a lawyer’s technical responsibilities with the need to communicate plainly and directly.

Hoyos holds current membership in professional legal associations. She engages in continuing education and professional programming to remain current on changes in rules and practice. Participation in those groups has been a steady part of her approach to practice and professional development.

Colleagues describe her work as methodical and focused on detail. She approaches each matter by examining the facts, identifying the governing law and outlining practical next steps. Her writing is concise. Her oral advocacy aims to be clear and persuasive rather than elaborate.

Her experience includes client counseling, document preparation and appearances in administrative and courtroom settings. She has handled procedural motions, negotiated routine settlements and prepared legal analyses used by clients to guide decision-making. Those assignments reflect a steady emphasis on sound legal thinking and thorough preparation.

Hoyos remains engaged in continuing professional growth. She attends seminars, follows developments in case law and maintains regular contact with peers. Outside the office she values the routines that sustain long days of practice: disciplined preparation, steady client communication and careful file management.

Today she maintains an active legal practice and provides clients with practical counsel grounded in her training and experience. Her current practice focuses on serving clients through clear advice, careful drafting and attentive case management.
