About Katherine Dianne
Katherine Dianne Bohnen earned her law degree from Pennsylvania State University’s Dickinson School of Law in 2015. She arrived in the profession at a time when state lines increasingly shaped legal practice. That early training in a Mid-Atlantic law school gave her a foundation in courtroom procedure and statutory analysis that she has applied across two jurisdictions.
Bohnen is licensed to practice in both Texas and North Carolina. She moved into active practice after graduation and established a docket that spans those states. Working in more than one jurisdiction has required attention to differing procedural rules and local practice norms. She has built a practice that navigates those differences day to day.
Her work is pragmatic. She handles client intake, prepares pleadings, and manages hearings. She represents individuals and organizations in state courts and before administrative bodies when matters touch on state law. She also spends time researching case law and drafting motions. The work blends written advocacy and in-person appearances, and she balances each as the demands of a case require.
Bohnen practices at the Law Office of Joshua Massingill. At that office she collaborates with colleagues on case strategy, shares responsibility for client communication, and contributes to litigation planning. Her role within the office includes managing case files and coordinating filings across Texas and North Carolina calendars. Colleagues describe her as methodical in preparing court submissions and attentive to procedural timeframes.
Outside the courtroom she follows legal developments in both jurisdictions closely. Changes in state statutes and shifts in appellate rulings can alter a client’s options, and she adjusts case plans accordingly. She also keeps current on procedural updates that affect filing deadlines and evidence rules. Those habits help her present clearer options to clients and to opposing counsel.
Bohnen’s practice brings together the technical demands of litigation and the practical work of case management. She maintains active standing in Texas and North Carolina and applies her training from Dickinson School of Law to matters that require cross-jurisdictional handling. Her current practice focuses on representing clients in matters arising under the laws of Texas and North Carolina.
