About Katarina J.

Katarina J. Arthur earned a B.A. in political science with a minor in English from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas in 2018. She spent time at the University of Oregon School of Law the same year and completed her legal education at the UNLV William S. Boyd School of Law, receiving her J.D. in 2021. Her academic path moved from a broad undergraduate curriculum into concentrated legal training in Nevada.

After law school, Arthur began building a practice centered on estate matters and business-related planning. She joined Phillips Ballenger, PLLC as an associate in 2021 and took on matters involving estate planning, business planning and probate. Her work there has involved drafting estate documents, advising clients on business succession options and guiding estates through probate administration.

Earlier roles gave Arthur direct exposure to court procedures and client-facing work. In 2021 she served as a judicial extern in the probate department of the 8th Judicial District Court in Las Vegas. That placement offered regular interaction with court filings and procedural issues specific to probate and estates. Before law school and during her studies she worked at Goodsell Law Group as a law clerk and, prior to that, as a legal assistant. Those positions included research, document preparation and client communications.

Arthur is a member of Wealth Counsel, joining that organization in 2021. The affiliation places her among practitioners who work on estate planning and related areas. She is licensed to practice in Nevada and has structured her practice around the intersections of personal estate planning and small- to mid-size business needs.

Her approach to cases tends to be methodical. She focuses on the documents and processes that move estates and businesses from one stage to the next. This includes wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and arrangements for business continuity. In probate matters she assists personal representatives and beneficiaries with filings, notices and the procedural steps required by Nevada courts.

Colleagues describe Arthur as detail-oriented in her handling of estate files and business planning matters. She draws on courtroom exposure from her externship and on client-service experience from her time at Goodsell Law Group. Those experiences inform how she manages files and communicates next steps to clients.

She currently practices at Phillips Ballenger, handling estate planning, business planning and probate matters.
