About Karen G

Karen G Horn built an academic foundation that crosses education and the law. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies from Cornell University in 1975. She then stayed in the academic world, completing a Master of Arts at Columbia University in 1976 and an Ed.D. at Columbia in 1984, both centered on higher and adult education. Horn returned to law school and received her J.D. from California Western School of Law in 1988, where she served as an editor on the Cal Western Law Review and received a law school merit scholarship. Her law school record also lists American Jurisprudence awards in Corporations and Trusts and in Wills, as well as academic achievement awards in Conflicts of Law and Legal Skills.

Horn has been part of the California legal community since 1988. She is a member of the California State Bar and her professional listings show continuous membership beginning that year. Her credentialing includes recognition in family law tied to the San Diego area under the auspices of the California State Bar. Over the years she has practiced under the name Law Ofc Karen G Horn, maintaining a practice rooted in California jurisdiction.

Her combined training in human development and higher education, followed by formal legal training, gives her a background that spans both the social and legal dimensions of family matters. That educational mix is reflected in her approach to cases and-client interactions. She edited legal scholarship in law school and has continued to apply analytic and research skills in practice. Her trajectory from Cornell to Columbia and then to California Western shows a steady progression toward the practice of law informed by prior academic work.

Today Horn continues to practice in California through Law Ofc Karen G Horn. She maintains active membership in the State Bar and handles matters arising in the family law context. Her current practice focuses on family law matters in California, operating out of her office under the Law Ofc Karen G Horn name.
