About Kaosy
Kaosy Umeh built her legal career on steady steps rather than sudden leaps. She trained at Howard University and then earned a J.D. from the University of Kansas School of Law. Those years set the technical groundwork for a practice that would remain anchored in Maryland.
Her undergraduate years at Howard University preceded law school and introduced her to the networks that often shape a lawyer’s early path. At the University of Kansas School of Law she completed the course of study required for the bar and prepared for practice through classroom work and clinical experience.
Umeh moved into private practice and into firm leadership early in her career. In 2015 she became a co-owner of Enekwe and Umeh Law Center, LLC. That role involved building a practice, managing client relationships, and handling the range of administrative and legal tasks that accompany ownership of a small firm.
In 2021 she took on the title of managing partner at The Umeh Law Office, LLC. The position shifted some attention toward running the office and shaping firm processes, alongside continuing to carry a caseload. Her responsibilities expanded to include oversight of day-to-day operations and the coordination of legal work across matters the office handled.
Throughout her practice she has worked within Maryland’s legal system. Her professional trajectory reflects time spent both representing clients and managing law office functions. Peers and clients are likely to encounter her in settings where firm leadership and advocacy intersect, whether that means guiding a case through its early stages or addressing practical aspects of client service.
She operates from The Umeh Law Office, LLC, where she continues to represent clients and manage the firm. Her current practice concentrates on serving clients in Maryland through The Umeh Law Office, LLC.
