About Kamran M
Kamran M Shahabi graduated from the University of California, Riverside in 2006 and earned his J.D. from Chapman University Fowler School of Law in 2011. He is licensed to practice in California. His academic path combined a broad undergraduate curriculum with three years of law school study in Orange County.
He began his professional legal career soon after law school. In 2011 he joined Wood, Smith, Henning & Berman, LLP, where he served in a partner role. That early period placed him in large-firm routines and client matters that shaped his approach to litigation and transactional work.
In 2016 Shahabi took on two notable roles. He became managing partner at Valiant Law, taking on leadership and administrative responsibilities in addition to casework. In the same year he was seconded as an in-house legal resource for Brit Insurance in the United States. That in-house assignment gave him direct exposure to corporate risk management and the operational side of insurance law.
Shahabi has maintained active involvement in the local legal community. Since 2011 he has held memberships in the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the San Bernardino County Bar Association and the Orange County Bar Association. He is also a member of the Iranian American Bar Association. These memberships reflect steady participation in county bar activities and professional networks across Southern California.
Colleagues describe him as someone who moves between management and casework without losing sight of client deadlines. He has overseen teams at his firm while continuing to handle client files. His experience spans law firm practice and a period embedded inside a corporate legal department. That combination informs his day-to-day judgment on strategy, staffing and client communications.
Today Shahabi serves as managing partner at Valiant Law. He runs the office operations and continues to represent clients in matters arising under California law. He practices from Valiant Law’s California office and handles legal matters for clients in the state.
