About Kaitlin S.

Kaitlin S. Files earned her law degree from Temple University in 2014 after completing her undergraduate studies at the University of Notre Dame in 2010. She moved from the classroom into the legal community in Pennsylvania, where she has built a practice centered on workers' compensation matters and the professional organizations that shape that field.

Her involvement in bar association work began to appear publicly in 2017, when she took on a leadership role in the Workers' Compensation Section of the Philadelphia Bar Association as Co-Chair of Diversity and Inclusion. That role put her in the middle of conversations about access and representation in the workers' compensation bar. In 2020 she joined The Wright Legacy as a board member, expanding her civic engagement beyond the bar. She added another leadership post in 2021 as Co-Chair of the Workers' Compensation Section of the Bucks County Bar Association, a position she holds today.

In 2020 she founded The Law Office of Kaitlin Files LLC. The move to open her own practice followed several years of association leadership and practice in the state. The firm bears her name and reflects a move toward independent practice. She manages the office and represents clients in matters arising under Pennsylvania's workers' compensation system.

Her professional work has an institutional as well as a client-facing dimension. Through co-chair roles she has helped organize programming, panel discussions and local section activities. Those positions are ongoing and have kept her connected to developments in workers' compensation law and in efforts to broaden participation within bar sections. She also serves on a nonprofit board, balancing that commitment with the daily demands of running a practice.

Colleagues describe her as engaged in the professional community and attentive to the procedural and evidentiary issues that shape workers' compensation claims. She handles hearings, administrative filings and case strategy, and she works with clients through the administrative process. She represents claimants and deals with the filings and hearings typical of state workers' compensation practice.

She practices in Pennsylvania and maintains active association roles that overlap with her legal work. She now operates The Law Office of Kaitlin Files LLC, where she represents individuals in workers' compensation matters in Pennsylvania.
