About Kaitlin
Kaitlin King earned her law degree from Northern Illinois University College of Law in 2019 after completing a bachelor’s degree at the University of Missouri in 2016. She entered the legal profession soon after law school and has built a practice that spans state and federal courts. Her academic record provided a foundation in legal research and writing, skills she has applied throughout her career.
After graduating, King joined Hart David Carson, LLP as an associate. In that role she has worked on matters that reach both state and federal forums. She is admitted to practice in Illinois and South Carolina and is also admitted to the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, which allows her to handle federal filings and courtroom matters in that district.
At the firm, King contributes to litigation work and day-to-day case management. Her responsibilities include drafting pleadings, preparing motions and supporting client counsel at hearings. She works under the supervision of senior attorneys on complex matters and assists in developing legal strategies and courtroom presentations. Her practice involves frequent interaction with court procedures and filing requirements in multiple jurisdictions.
King maintains memberships in several professional organizations. She is a member of the Chicago Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association and the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois. These memberships give her access to continuing legal education programs, practice-area sections and local professional networks. She participates in programs and meetings that address developments in court rules and procedural practice.

She remains based at Hart David Carson, LLP and handles matters in Illinois and selected federal courts, including the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. She currently focuses her practice on litigation in state and federal courts.
