About Justin
Justin Tucker began his legal education at Brigham Young University and completed his law degree at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. He studied both the theory and the practical side of law, and left law school prepared for courtroom work and the written advocacy that follows a case after trial. The academic path set a straightforward course toward practice in Colorado.
Early in his career he became active in the Colorado legal community. He is a current member of the Colorado State Bar and belongs to the Colorado Family Law Section. He also holds admission to practice before the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals. Those affiliations signal the arenas where much of his work takes place: state family courts and federal appellate hearings.
Tucker’s experience includes handling contested family law matters and preparing appellate briefs. In the courtroom he has handled hearings and argued motions. On appeal he has prepared the records and framed legal questions for higher courts. He blends trial preparation with appellate technique, aiming to preserve issues for review and to present a clear legal record when cases move beyond the trial court.
His approach to cases is methodical. He evaluates settlements and trial risks. He lays out options for clients and explains how appellate preservation can affect long-term outcomes. He does not promise results. He offers legal analysis, identifies procedural steps and prepares the necessary filings when a matter moves to the 10th Circuit.
Justin Tucker practices from his own firm, Justin Tucker Law. The firm serves individuals involved in family court matters and people who require appellate representation in the federal system. The office handles case intake, trial-level litigation and the appellate work that follows. Colleagues and clients see a lawyer who combines courtroom advocacy with the writing demanded by appellate practice.
Outside of active cases he continues to be involved in the Colorado Family Law Section and maintains good standing with the Colorado State Bar. He stays current on developments in family law and appellate procedure that affect clients in state and federal courts. He currently practices at Justin Tucker Law, handling family law cases and appellate matters in the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals.
