About Justin Ross

Justin Ross Kaufman earned his Bachelor of Arts from Cornell University in 1998 and continued his legal education at Temple University Beasley School of Law, receiving his J.D. in 2004. Those years shaped his approach to law. He studied at two distinct campuses and left each with a clear sense of the profession’s demands.

After law school Kaufman moved into practice and established his professional footing. He has been a member of the State Bar of New Mexico since 2005. He is admitted to practice in both New Mexico and New York, a dual standing that has shaped the types of matters he handles and the clients he represents.

His career path has included roles that required adaptability across different legal environments. Maintaining licensure in two states has allowed him to engage with matters that involve state-specific rules and procedures. Colleagues describe him as methodical in his preparation and pragmatic in his courtroom approach. He has built experience working within the frameworks of both New Mexico courts and New York’s legal system.

Within professional circles Kaufman has remained involved in bar activities and has kept current on developments affecting practitioners in his jurisdictions. His membership in the State Bar of New Mexico, held continuously since 2005, reflects an ongoing connection to the New Mexico legal community. That connection informs how he evaluates local practice issues, from procedural nuances to client expectations.

Kaufman is currently associated with Heard Robins Cloud LLP. At that firm he brings the perspective of a lawyer qualified in more than one state. He works from the firm’s offices and engages with matters that benefit from cross-jurisdictional insight. His work requires attention to both state and inter-state considerations.

He continues to practice at Heard Robins Cloud LLP and concentrates his work on matters that draw on his admissions in New Mexico and New York.
