About Justin
Justin Pratt earned his J.D. from Texas Tech University School of Law. He entered the legal profession after law school and moved through a series of roles that combined courtroom exposure, alternative dispute work, and private practice. Early steps included a clerkship and editorial work while he was still building practical experience.
In 2009 Pratt served as a law clerk at Miller Law Office. The next year he worked as a mediator for Lubbock Alternative Dispute Resolution Services. He also spent time on the editorial side of legal scholarship, serving as an editor for the Estate Planning and Community Property Law Journal from 2009 to 2010 and later joining that journal's executive committee.
By 2011 he was a partner at Intermountain Legal, P.C. That move followed several years of membership and leadership in student and young lawyer groups, including an active period with the Red Raider Bar Association and the J. Reuben Clark Law Society, where he was treasurer from 2010 to 2011. Overlapping those roles, he began joining local bar groups in Utah, establishing ties in multiple counties and practice communities.
Pratt is admitted to practice in Utah and in two federal appellate circuits: the 10th Circuit and the Federal Circuit. His memberships include the Central Utah Bar Association, the Utah Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Park City Bar Association, the Davis County Bar Association, and the Salt Lake County Bar Association. Since 2011 he has been listed as a member of the Utah State Bar's Juvenile Law Section.
His career shows an interest in both dispute resolution and litigation. Roles as a mediator and a clerk gave him early exposure to case preparation and settlement dynamics. Editorial work on an estate planning journal indicates familiarity with trust and estate topics and the mechanics of legal scholarship. His active participation in county and specialty bar groups reflects a practice shaped by local court systems and professional networks.
Pratt practices at Intermountain Legal, P.C., and appears regularly in Utah courts and in the 10th and Federal Circuit appellate forums. He maintains memberships in local and specialty bar organizations and remains engaged in professional activities that intersect litigation, juvenile law, and estate planning matters.
He currently practices at Intermountain Legal, P.C., handling matters in Utah and in the 10th and Federal Circuits.
