About Justin
Justin Lo earned his J.D. from UCLA School of Law. He entered the legal profession after law school and moved quickly into public sector work.
In 2011 he served as a lawyer for the City of Pasadena. That role gave him experience inside local government and exposure to the routines of municipal practice. His time at the city office lasted long enough to shape his understanding of how public agencies handle legal questions.
A year later he opened his own practice. In 2012 he became the owner of the Law Office of Justin Lo. Running a small firm required him to handle a mix of tasks: managing client matters, maintaining court deadlines, and overseeing the business side of a practice. The switch from city employment to private practice is a throughline in his career.
He is admitted to practice before the Federal Circuit, the Ninth Circuit and in the state of California. Those admissions allow him to appear in federal appellate courts as well as in California state courts. His credentialing reflects a practice that operates across trial and appellate venues rather than being limited to a single forum.
Colleagues describe him as methodical in approach and exacting with court work. He prioritizes clear legal writing and careful preparation. He has handled matters that required attention to procedural detail and an ability to present legal questions to judges in both federal and state settings.
Over time his practice has balanced litigation demands with the steady work of advising clients on courtroom procedures and filings. He maintains an office under his firm name and accepts matters that fit the scope of his admissions. His work reflects the combination of municipal experience and private-practice responsibilities that began early in his career.
He continues to operate the Law Office of Justin Lo and represents clients in matters that arise before California courts, the Ninth Circuit, and the Federal Circuit. His current practice centers on appellate and trial matters across those jurisdictions.
