About Justin
Justin Esworthy built a career that moves from big-picture international business to state-level courtroom work. He started with an undergraduate degree in international business at Hofstra University, earning a B.B.A. in 2000. He then turned to law, completing a J.D. at Tulane University School of Law in 2006.
After law school, Esworthy established himself in practice across several Mid-Atlantic jurisdictions. He is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania, Virginia and Maryland. He joined professional associations early in his career and has maintained active memberships ever since. His involvement with the Virginia State Bar Association dates to 2006, he joined the Maryland State Bar Association in 2010, and he has been a member of the Baltimore County Bar Association since 2011.
Esworthy’s private-practice resume includes both partnership and firm ownership. In 2014 he became a partner at Timmerman Beaulieu Hinkle & Esworthy, LLC, where he worked for several years on matters handled by the firm. In 2022 he launched his own firm, Esworthy Law, LLC, and assumed the role of owner. The move to solo ownership followed a period of running substantive practices within a partner structure.
Colleagues describe him as a lawyer who handles day-to-day lawyering tasks directly. He has worked on case preparation, client counseling and courtroom proceedings. He handles filings and hearings, prepares motions, and meets clients in and out of court. Those hands-on responsibilities have carried through from his partner years into the independent practice he now runs.
Esworthy’s memberships in state and local bar associations reflect a steady professional presence in the region. He has kept ties to Virginia’s legal community since the mid-2000s, and he expanded his practice networks into Maryland and Baltimore County in the following decade. Those connections inform how he manages cases that cross state lines, particularly when matters involve procedural differences from one jurisdiction to another.
Today he operates Esworthy Law, LLC. The firm maintains multiple office locations and serves clients across the Mid-Atlantic. He balances the administrative duties of running a small firm with direct client work. He now leads Esworthy Law, LLC and represents clients in matters spanning Pennsylvania, Maryland and Virginia.
