About Justin
Justin Elsner earned a Bachelor of Arts from Central Washington University in 2003 and completed his J.D. at Seattle University School of Law in 2007. His path to the law included early work in a nonlegal setting; he spent time as an accountant for Enterprise Rent-A-Car in 2002. That experience gave him familiarity with numbers and business processes before he moved full-time into legal practice.
After finishing law school, Elsner assumed the role of managing lawyer at Elsner Law Office, PLLC in 2007. He has run the office since then, handling both the operational demands of a small firm and direct client work. Those dual responsibilities shape how he organizes cases and communicates with clients. Day-to-day tasks have ranged from case intake and motion practice to courtroom appearances.
Elsner maintains memberships in several professional organizations that reflect the range of his courtroom activity. He is a member of the Washington Association for Justice, the Washington Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the King County Bar Association. He also belongs to the Snohomish County Bar Association, where his membership dates to 2010. On the federal side, he has been a member of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington since 2007.
His community and extracurricular affiliations extend beyond the bar. Elsner joined the Mountlake Terrace Business Association in 2015 and is active in that local business community. He has also been a member of the triathlon organization USAT since 2014, a signal of a personal interest outside the office.
Colleagues describe Elsner as someone who balances the administrative burdens of running a small firm with regular courtroom work. He is comfortable managing case files and handling the logistical side of litigation. At hearings and trials he focuses on practical advocacy and on preparing witnesses and evidence for presentation.
Elsner’s practice is rooted in the courts of Washington and in the Western District’s federal venue. He continues to lead Elsner Law Office, PLLC and to represent clients at the state and federal level. He currently practices at Elsner Law Office, PLLC, representing clients in Washington courts and in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington.
