About Justin David
Justin David Waldo earned a B.A. in History and Philosophy from the University of Texas at Austin in 2017. He went on to complete his legal education at Baylor Law School, receiving his J.D. in 2020. His academic path combined liberal arts study with formal legal training, giving him a background in analysis and argument that he has carried into practice.
After law school, Waldo began practicing law in Texas. He is licensed to practice in that jurisdiction. Early in his career he took on a mix of tasks that included advising clients, preparing pleadings, and appearing in court. Those years shaped the practical side of his work; they taught him how to translate legal doctrine into concrete steps for clients.
Waldo’s day-to-day work has involved client counseling, written advocacy and courtroom work. He handles factual investigation, legal research and case strategy. Colleagues describe him as methodical in preparation and direct in court, preferring clear arguments over ornate rhetoric. He has worked on matters that require careful attention to procedure and deadlines as well as those that demand negotiation skills.
He joined Zehl & Associates, P.C., where he continues his practice. At the firm he contributes to case management and client intake, and he works alongside other attorneys on litigation and related tasks. His work at the firm reflects an emphasis on steady, practical problem-solving rather than headline-grabbing litigation.
Outside the office, Waldo keeps current with legal developments that affect his work in Texas. He reads new opinions and attends continuing education when his schedule allows. That habit helps him spot changes in procedure and law that matter to clients.
Today he practices at Zehl & Associates, P.C., handling matters that arise under Texas law and serving clients through the firm’s office in the state.
