About Julie O.

Julie O. Wolff built a practice at the intersection of family law, juvenile dependency and alternative dispute resolution. She combines courtroom experience with training in mediation and child welfare law. Colleagues describe a pragmatic approach to complex family matters and a steady presence in contested proceedings.

She earned a Bachelor of Arts in sociology from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 1998. She then completed a J.D. at California Western School of Law in 2010, where her studies emphasized trial practice and problem solving. Later, she pursued an LL.M. in Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University School of Law, completing that program in 2017.

Her first post-law school position was a clerkship to the Honorable Leon Aberasturi at the 3rd Judicial District Court in Nevada in 2010. That role placed her inside criminal and civil calendars and exposed her to judicial decision-making early in her career. She moved into private practice the following year as a staff lawyer at the Law Offices of Dale Wilson, handling litigation and client counseling.

In 2014 she joined the Minor’s Counsel Office at Dependency Legal Group, representing children and participating in dependency hearings. Two years later she opened the Law & Mediation Office of Julie O. Wolff, where she acted as owner, lawyer and mediator. That period expanded her mediation roster and deepened her work in child welfare and juvenile matters.

Wolff holds a Child Welfare Legal Specialist certification from the National Association of Counsel for Children and a mediator credential from Pepperdine University School of Law. She has been a member of the National Association of Counsel for Children since 2016. Locally, she has been active in the San Diego County Bar Association, serving as Chair of Family Law in 2019 and Chair of Juvenile Law in 2020, and she has served on boards for the San Diego Family Law Bar Association and the Lawyers Club of San Diego.

In 2023 she worked at Genesis Family Law. In 2024 she joined Minella Law Group as a senior lawyer. Her recent roles reflect continued engagement in courtroom practice, mediation and child-centered dependency work.

She currently practices at Minella Law Group, where her work centers on family law, juvenile dependency matters and mediation.
