About Julie Lynn
Julie Lynn Dupre studied English at the University of California, Los Angeles, graduating in 1987. She moved from literature into law and earned her J.D. from California Western School of Law in 1993. Those two degrees — one in English and one in law — shaped a practice that values precise writing and careful analysis.
After law school Dupre began working in California. She is licensed to practice in the state and has spent decades applying classroom lessons to client matters. Her academic background gave her a grounding in structure and argument. That training informed how she approaches briefs, motions, and client counseling.
Her career has involved long stretches of hands-on legal work. She has handled research, drafted pleadings and contracts, and prepared legal memoranda. She has represented clients in meetings and in court, and she has worked behind the scenes on case strategy and negotiation. Colleagues say she brings an orderly approach to complex problems and pays attention to language and detail. Those tendencies reflect her earlier study of English as much as they reflect legal training.
Dupre’s professional path is steady rather than flashy. She has moved through the stages of practice typical for a lawyer trained in the early 1990s: rigorous study, admission to the bar, and years of client work. Over time she has combined litigation tasks with out-of-court dispute resolution and transactional drafting. Her work habits emphasize preparation, careful drafting, and direct communication with clients and opposing counsel.
Today Dupre maintains a presence in Southern California. She works from an office at 641 E. San Ysidro Blvd. There she continues to serve clients locally and manage the day-to-day demands of legal practice. Her current practice is based in California, operating out of the San Ysidro office where she meets with clients and handles legal matters.
