About Julie
Julie Luhrsen is a personal injury attorney based in Sarasota, Florida. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Richmond School of Law in 1989 and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Miami University of Ohio in 1984. Julie is licensed to practice law in Florida, Virginia, and North Carolina. She has been a member of The Florida Bar since 1999 — In 2016, Julie co-founded Luhrsen Goldberg, LLC, a women-led law firm in Sarasota, Florida.
The firm specializes in personal injury cases, including automobile accidents, wrongful death, and slip and fall incidents. Julie serves as the managing partner, focusing on providing compassionate and dedicated legal representation to clients. Before entering private practice, Julie served as a Major in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General (JAG) Corps from 1991 to 2000.
During her tenure, she gained experience as a criminal prosecutor and defense counsel, and participated as a paratrooper at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Julie is actively involved in several professional organizations. She is a member of the Florida Justice Association and the Sarasota County Bar Association. From 2016 to 2023, she served in various leadership roles with the Florida Association for Women Lawyers, including President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Board Member.
Additionally, she has been a board member and past chairperson of Operation Warrior Resolution, an organization dedicated to supporting veterans. Outside of her professional commitments, Julie enjoys reading, exercising, and spending time with her son and daughter. She is also a volunteer trustee at The Out-of-Door Academy.
