About Juliane
Juliane Lore trained first as a scientist and then as a lawyer. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Botany from Colorado State University before moving into law at the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, where she received a J.D. with a concentration in international law. That mix of subjects shaped an analytical approach to practice and a willingness to work on complex factual questions.
Her earliest legal work came in public defense. In 2008 she served as a deputy public defender. That role put her in court, advocating for clients facing criminal charges and acquiring trial experience under pressure. The following year she joined Patten, Peterman, Bekkedahl & Green as an associate. She moved into private practice in 2010 when she established Lore Law Office, PLLC.
Lore is admitted to practice in Montana and before the Ninth Circuit. Those admissions have shaped the kinds of matters she handles. Her background in the public defender’s office gave her direct experience in trial-level criminal work. Admission to the Ninth Circuit allows her to handle federal appellate filings and related federal matters when they arise.
Colleagues and former clients describe her as practical and exacting in the courtroom. She draws on scientific training when cases involve technical evidence. That background also informs how she prepares witnesses and presents complex technical points to judges and juries. In private practice she has handled a range of matters that flow from her earlier public defense work and from the types of appeals that come through the Ninth Circuit.
Her firm, Lore Law Office, PLLC, is where she has practiced since 2010. The office handles criminal defense matters and appeals, and it represents clients in proceedings that require careful procedural work and courtroom advocacy. Lore runs a small practice where she remains personally involved in most cases.
Outside the courtroom she has stayed connected to legal developments affecting criminal and appellate practice. She follows federal and state decisions closely and adjusts litigation strategies as precedent evolves. She currently practices at Lore Law Office, PLLC, representing clients in criminal defense matters and federal appeals.
