About Julian
Julian Stroleny studied philosophy before turning to law. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Florida International University and stayed at FIU for his law degree, receiving his J.D. in 2012. That combination of liberal arts and legal training shaped a practical, argumentative style. It also set the stage for a career that has moved between public service and private practice.
His first position after law school put him on the prosecution side. In 2013 he served as an Assistant State Lawyer in the Miami-Dade office, handling matters on behalf of the state. The next year he shifted to private practice and became a founding owner of Pagan & Stroleny, P.L. That firm work lasted several years and led to a decision in 2019 to start his own firm, STROLENY LAW: CRIMINAL DEFENSE ATTORNEY, where he is the owner.
Stroleny practices in Florida and in federal courts. His credentials include memberships in the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. He also lists the Federal Circuit among his jurisdictions. He has belonged to The Florida Bar since 2013 and remains active in legal organizations that address criminal law and procedure.
Professional associations have been a steady part of his career. He has served on the Board of Directors for the Miami chapter of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers since 2016. He is a member of the national criminal defense organization, as well as local chapters. Other affiliations include NORML and a group billed as DiveBar, The Underwater Bar Association. He joined several of those groups in 2014 and has maintained memberships that span local and national practice communities.
In practice he handles criminal defense matters across state and federal dockets. His resume traces a path from state prosecutor to firm owner and then to a solo practice. That path reflects familiarity with courtroom process on both sides of the aisle. In 2026 he leads STROLENY LAW: CRIMINAL DEFENSE ATTORNEY and provides representation in criminal cases in Florida and in federal courts.
