About Jules August Grandjean
Jules August Grandjean II took a circuitous route to private practice. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and Criminology from Arizona State University West in 2006 and went on to receive his J.D. from Florida Coastal School of Law in 2009. Early exposure to courtroom work came through internships; he worked at his family’s Grandjean Law Office as a legal intern in 1996 and later gained experience at the Yavapai County Public Defender’s Office in 2007.
Those internships led naturally into paid roles after law school. In 2010 he joined Phillips Law Group, PC as a personal injury lawyer and trial attorney. Two years later he moved to Brill Law Office, PLLC where he continued to handle personal injury litigation. The trajectory during this period was clear: trial work and civil litigation occupied much of his docket, and he accumulated hands-on experience in contested matters.
Grandjean’s practice diversified as he moved into public service. In 2019 he served as an Assistant District Lawyer in the 11th Judicial District Lawyers Office, a role that emphasized courtroom advocacy and trial preparation. That experience added a public-law dimension to his background, broadening the types of matters he would later manage in private practice.
In 2021 he became managing partner at Proudlaw, LLC. The title reflects both administrative responsibility and continuing courtroom work. He is licensed to practice in Texas, Arizona and New Mexico, and he has maintained memberships in several professional organizations that mirror his mixed civil and criminal practice. He has been listed as a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute since 2021, and he joined the New Mexico Criminal Defense Lawyers Association and the New Mexico Trial Lawyers Association the same year. Earlier in his career he belonged to local and state trial groups, including the Scottsdale Bar Association and the Arizona Association for Justice.
Colleagues describe him as an attorney who handles trial preparation, hearing work and contested litigation. His background in personal injury and subsequent district office work give him experience on both sides of adversarial proceedings. He also oversees the firm’s operations as managing partner, assigning cases and supervising litigation strategy.
He practices at Proudlaw, LLC and focuses his current work on trial litigation in civil and criminal matters.
