About Judith E.
Judith E. Murphy built her legal foundation at the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University, where she enrolled in 2009 and earned her Juris Doctor in 2012. Law school shaped the practical side of her training. Clinical work, classes and internships gave her routine exposure to the daily demands of legal practice.
While still in law school she began working at Farber, Pappalardo & Carbonari as a law clerk in 2011. That early experience introduced her to the firm’s workflow and client service standards. She returned to the same firm after graduation and was hired as an associate in 2013. The progression from clerk to associate provided a steady trajectory into active practice.
Murphy is a member of several professional groups in New York. She belongs to the Westchester County Bar Association and the Westchester Women’s Bar Association. She also maintains membership in the New York State Bar Association. Those affiliations keep her connected to regional and state-level developments in law and procedure.
Colleagues describe her as deliberate and attentive. She approaches assignments methodically and places emphasis on careful analysis. Her background—law school followed by hands-on experience at a single firm—has given her continuity in handling client matters and following cases through multiple stages. She has worked on tasks typical for associates at private firms, including legal research, drafting, and client communications. Her training at Pace provided a foundation for those day-to-day responsibilities.
Since rejoining Farber, Pappalardo & Carbonari as an associate, Murphy has continued to develop her practice at that firm. She draws on the familiarity she gained as a law clerk to manage client work and to support more senior attorneys. Outside of the office she participates in bar association activities that relate to local practice issues. Her current practice is based at Farber, Pappalardo & Carbonari, where she handles matters within the firm’s practice areas and supports the firm’s representation of its clients.
