About Joshua

Joshua Stemle enrolled at the Thomas Goode Jones School of Law at Faulkner University in 2007 and earned his J.D. in 2010. He completed the three-year program during a period that emphasized practical skills alongside doctrinal study. The law school shaped the early arc of his legal training and prepared him for practice in the Southeast.

After law school, Stemle entered private practice and built a career that spans two state jurisdictions. He is licensed to practice in both Alabama and Florida. Over the years he has handled matters that require familiarity with the procedural and substantive differences between the two states’ courts. That dual-licensing shapes how he approaches cases and advises clients.

Stemle keeps active ties to professional organizations and holds current memberships that reflect ongoing engagement with the legal community. He has remained in practice rather than pursuing a full-time academic path, and his work has been concentrated in law firm settings. Colleagues describe him as pragmatic in the office and methodical in preparing matters for court or negotiation.

The practical side of his practice shows in how he manages client matters. He works on cases that require close attention to state statutes, court rules and local practice. He spends time in hearings and on written advocacy, and he balances courtroom work with client counseling. His approach is straightforward: break down complex issues, identify options, and communicate choices clearly to clients.

Stemle is based at Stokes Stemle, LLC, where he practices alongside other attorneys and staff. The firm serves clients whose matters cross municipal and state lines, and Stemle’s dual admission is an asset in those situations. He is involved in day-to-day case management, client intake and strategy sessions. He also dedicates time to professional development and stays current on changes in the law that affect his clients.

In conversations with clients he tends to focus on practical outcomes rather than theory. He aims to give clear advice and realistic assessments of risk. His current practice concentrates on legal matters arising in Alabama and Florida and on serving clients through Stokes Stemle, LLC.
