About Joshua Ryan

Joshua Ryan Baker earned his law degree from the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Law in 2012 after completing a Bachelor of Science at Missouri State University in 2007. His academic record combined classroom work with practical training, where he learned the fundamentals of legal research and advocacy. The transition from undergraduate study to law school shaped the early contours of his professional interests.

After completing his J.D., Baker moved into private practice and began the routine work that forms the backbone of many young attorneys’ careers: research, drafting, client meetings and courtroom preparation. Those early years were spent learning how to manage case files, explain complex legal concepts to clients, and collaborate with more senior lawyers on trial-ready work products. He developed a steady practice rhythm and a practical sense for timing and procedure.

Colleagues describe his style as methodical and plainspoken. He approaches problems by breaking them down into manageable pieces and then addressing each in turn. That translates into careful pleadings, orderly discovery plans and clear client communications. He is comfortable in written advocacy and in preparing materials that other lawyers and judges can use efficiently.

Baker joined Evans & Dixon, LLC where he works alongside a group of attorneys handling a variety of matters. At the firm he has taken on responsibility for case development and client counseling. His role includes preparing filings, coordinating with experts and managing deadlines. He has contributed to matters that require close attention to procedural rules and responsive client service.

He holds a J.D. from UMKC School of Law and a B.S. from Missouri State University, and he remains based at Evans & Dixon, LLC. He currently practices at Evans & Dixon, LLC, handling legal matters for the firm’s clients and supporting the firm’s casework across its practice areas.
