About Joshua
Joshua Fogelman built his path to the courtroom through two Texas institutions. He earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Texas at Austin and went on to law school at Baylor. Those years set a framework for a practice steeped in litigation and courtroom work.
He began his legal career after law school and chose to stay in Texas. Over time he gravitated toward trial work. His involvement in local and statewide trial lawyer groups reflects that direction. Courtroom procedure, witness preparation and jury presentations figure large in his day-to-day practice.
Fogelman took on roles beyond casework early in his career. He joined professional associations and moved into leadership. He currently serves on the executive committee of the Capital Area Trial Lawyers Association. He is also active in the Texas Trial Lawyers Association and holds membership in the State Bar of Texas. His name appears among contributors to the Texas Bar Foundation, where he is listed as a current member.
Those associations offer both professional peers and a platform for engagement. He has used those affiliations to stay connected to trends in civil litigation and to participate in continuing legal education. He attends and often speaks at regional gatherings where trial tactics and case law developments are discussed.
Fogelman practices at FVF Law | Fogelman & Von Flatern, LLP. The firm presents itself as a trial-oriented practice and he fits into that environment. Clients and colleagues describe him as someone who prepares rigorously for hearings and trials, and who pays close attention to procedural detail. He handles case development from initial pleadings through trial and judgment.
His courtroom work is complemented by a steady involvement in community and professional initiatives. The Capital Area Trial Lawyers Association executive committee role requires coordinating educational programs and advocacy efforts for trial attorneys in the region. That work keeps him engaged with both younger attorneys and seasoned litigators.
Outside the courtroom, he continues to follow developments in Texas law. He watches appellate decisions that affect trial practice and stays active in programs offered by the State Bar of Texas and the Texas Trial Lawyers Association. He remains a current member of the Texas Bar Foundation.
Today he practices in Texas at FVF Law | Fogelman & Von Flatern, LLP, where he focuses on trial litigation and related civil matters.
