About Joshua
Joshua Dunyon pursued a traditional path through higher education before entering law. He earned an associate’s degree from Snow College in 2007, a B.A. from Utah State University in 2009, and a J.D. from Creighton University School of Law in 2012. Those years laid the groundwork for a practice split between neighboring states.
After law school he gained admission to the State Bar of Utah in 2013 and to the Wyoming State Bar in 2014. He maintains active membership in both bars. That dual licensing allows him to handle matters that arise on either side of the Wyoming–Utah border.
Early in his career he turned to civil litigation and personal injury work. He joined a firm known as The Advocates, taking on cases on behalf of people injured in accidents. His work has required a steady mix of client meetings, investigation, negotiation and courtroom appearances. He handles the procedural side and the interpersonal side of claims work.
Colleagues and opposing counsel describe him as straightforward and methodical. He prepares cases with attention to detail and prefers clear, direct communication with clients. He is comfortable arguing a motion in court and also spending the time to explain medical records and liability issues to someone who has never been through the legal system.
Membership in both the State Bar of Utah and the Wyoming State Bar informs how he approaches jurisdictional and procedural questions. That background matters in cross-border disputes and in cases where evidence or witnesses are located in more than one state. He draws on that perspective when planning litigation timelines and discovery strategies.
Outside the courtroom he has kept close to the practical tasks that sustain a small-firm practice: interviewing witnesses, coordinating with experts, and managing the timelines that insurance companies impose. He is known around the office for rolling up his sleeves on the investigative work that cases often require.
He works as a personal injury lawyer at The Advocates - Driggs, Bills & Day PC. He represents clients in personal injury matters and handles the litigation and negotiation those cases require.
