About Joshua
Joshua Daws studied law at Texas Tech University School of Law. He came to the practice with classroom training and a readiness to work at the front lines of legal problems. His legal education prepared him for the practical demands of firm life and client work.
He began his professional journey in 2017 at Bergquist Law Office. That early stint gave him exposure to daily courtroom operations and client-facing responsibilities. In 2020 he joined Morrow & Sheppard LLP, then moved to Stewart J. Guss, Lawyers at Law in 2021. Each stop added layers to his experience. By 2023 he launched Daws & Associates, PLLC, where he serves as a lawyer and the principal at his own firm.
Across those roles he handled a range of legal tasks. He drafted pleadings and briefs, prepared motions, conducted factual and legal research, and met with clients to review case options. He has courtroom experience and appears regularly on behalf of clients in hearings and status conferences. Colleagues say he approaches casework methodically and tends to break complex issues into clear steps for clients.
Daws is licensed to practice in Texas. He also holds an advanced Oral Proficiency Interview certification in Spanish from Language Testing International. That credential supports communication with Spanish-speaking clients and can reduce the need for outside interpreters in many settings. He maintains current professional membership in at least one legal association and participates in the professional community.
His move to open Daws & Associates, PLLC reflects a desire to manage cases from intake through resolution. The firm handles client matters from its Texas office and provides a single point of contact for those who prefer a smaller firm setting. He balances case preparation, court appearances, and client counseling in the day-to-day operation of the practice.
He keeps a practical approach to lawyering and prioritizes clear explanations for clients. He continues to build his practice through steady client work and by maintaining professional ties in the Texas legal community. His current practice focuses on representing clients and providing legal advocacy from his firm in Texas.
