About Joshua

Joshua Corman studied government at Georgetown University, earning his Bachelor of Arts in 2000. He moved on to the University of Missouri–Columbia for law school and received his Juris Doctor in 2006. Those years framed a course through two different legal cultures — the Washington corridor of policy and the Midwestern law school classroom — and they shaped the practical approach he brings to clients today.

Early in his career Corman built experience in both courtroom settings and transactional environments. He is admitted to practice in Missouri and Tennessee, which informs how he approaches cross-jurisdictional matters and client counseling. Colleagues describe him as methodical in preparing filings and attentive when explaining legal options to clients in plain language.

His background bridges two institutional types. Georgetown supplied exposure to government and public policy debates. Missouri provided a more practice-oriented legal training. He uses that combination to translate statutory and regulatory issues into day-to-day decisions for the people and businesses he represents.

Corman’s work has included drafting pleadings, negotiating resolutions and advising clients on procedural and substantive risks. He is steady under deadline pressure and tends to break complex problems into discrete steps that clients can follow. That style suits matters that require both close attention to detail and an ability to make timely choices.

At Shea Moskovitz & McGhee he is part of a team that handles a range of client needs. He contributes to case preparation and client strategy sessions, and he appears regularly in communications that move a file forward. Peers say he values clear, direct exchanges and practical solutions rather than technical complexity for its own sake.

Outside the office Corman’s education and admissions suggest he keeps an eye on the interaction between state laws in Tennessee and Missouri. He maintains connections to the legal communities in both states, which helps when a matter crosses lines of authority. He also stays current on procedural developments that affect litigation calendars and filing obligations.

His current practice at Shea Moskovitz & McGhee centers on legal work across Tennessee and Missouri.
