About Joshua Bradford
Joshua Bradford Kons is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the states of California, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Connecticut. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 2006, the Illinois State Bar in 2011, the Wisconsin State Bar in 2007, and the Connecticut State Bar in 2012. His license status is active in all these jurisdictions. Mr. Kons is the managing member and founder of Kons Law, a law firm located in Hartford, Connecticut. He has been practicing law for over 19 years, serving clients throughout Connecticut and other states where he is admitted to practice.
Mr. Kons earned his Juris Doctor degree from Pepperdine University School of Law in 2006. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, receiving a Bachelor of Business Administration in 2002. During his time at Pepperdine, he concentrated his legal education in the areas of corporate and securities law and served as a senior fellow at the Geoffrey Palmer Center for Entrepreneurship and the Law.
Mr. Kons concentrates his practice in the areas of business law, securities litigation, and creditors' rights. He represents businesses in commercial transactions, commercial litigation, consumer and commercial debt collection, and securities litigation. His practice encompasses all stages of litigation, including initial case evaluation, discovery, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial proceedings in both state and federal courts. He has represented over 1,000 individual investors and financial advisors across the United States in securities industry disputes, including FINRA arbitration proceedings.
Throughout his career, Mr. Kons has handled cases in various courts, including the United States District Courts for the Central, Eastern, Northern, and Southern Districts of California; the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin; the District of Connecticut; the Northern and Central Districts of Illinois; and the Districts of Colorado and North Dakota. Prior to founding his own firm, he worked as an in-house attorney for General Electric (GE), where he was responsible for corporate and commercial transactional matters, as well as debt collection and asset recovery matters. He also worked with several boutique business and securities law firms, focusing on representing investors and financial advisors in securities arbitration proceedings.
Mr. Kons is an active member of the State Bar of California, the State Bar of Illinois, the State Bar of Wisconsin, and the State Bar of Connecticut. He is also a member of the Public Investors Arbitration Bar Association (PIABA), an organization dedicated to promoting investor rights in securities and commodities arbitration proceedings. In addition to his securities litigation practice, he maintains an active class action practice focusing on financial services and consumer finance matters, helping secure more than $100 million in relief for class members since 2012. Mr. Kons is fluent in English and Spanish, allowing him to serve a diverse clientele effectively.
