About Josh
Josh Lowell earned his J.D. from Seattle University School of Law in 2012 after beginning his studies in 2009. His time in law school overlapped with practical work at the same firm where he would later build his career. That early exposure to practice matters shaped the practical side of his legal training.
He began his association with Magnuson Lowell P.S. as a clerk in 2009. After completing law school, he joined the firm as an associate in 2012. Six years later he became a partner, a move that reflected steady progression within the same office rather than a series of lateral moves. The timeline shows continuity and an accumulation of responsibilities inside a single firm culture.
Lowell is licensed to practice in Washington. His professional affiliations have ranged across the state’s legal community. He has been a member of the Washington State Association for Justice since 2017. Earlier in his career he belonged to the Washington State Defense Lawyers from 2012 until 2018. Those memberships indicate participation in both sides of civil practice circles.
Colleagues describe his practice as grounded in casework and courtroom procedure. Over time he has handled matters that required client intake, discovery, motion practice and trial preparation. He has worked on files at different stages, from early investigation to settlement discussions and trial-ready motions. His career path through clerkship, associate work and partnership has given him exposure to the full lifecycle of civil cases.
Lowell’s work habit is methodical. He balances file management with court deadlines and client communication. He also mentors junior lawyers in the firm, drawing on the experience he gained rising through its ranks. That mentoring role is part of his day-to-day work as partner.
Outside of firm duties he has engaged with Washington’s bar community through the organizations he has joined. His membership history shows an interest in staying connected to changing practice standards and professional networks in the state.
He practices at Magnuson Lowell P.S. in Washington and maintains active involvement in the legal community there. He currently focuses on civil litigation matters in Washington state.
