About Josh
Josh Lingsch earned his J.D. from Georgia State University College of Law in 2012. He trained in Georgia courts while in law school and began building a career in juvenile advocacy soon after graduation. His education at a law school in Atlanta provided early exposure to the legal issues that shape young lives.
Lingsch started his courtroom experience as an intern at the Fulton County Juvenile Court in 2011. That early placement gave him day-to-day exposure to hearings, case preparation and client interviews. He returned to the Fulton County Juvenile Court in a professional capacity as an Assistant Public Defender II in 2016. There he handled a range of delinquency matters, representing young people through arraignments, plea negotiations and contested hearings.
In 2020 Lingsch moved into a supervisory role at the Clayton County Juvenile Court, serving as Supervising Lawyer for the Juvenile Division. The position required managing caseloads and mentoring newer staff while continuing to appear in court. Records show he spent key years practicing inside the juvenile court system, gaining experience in both trial work and case oversight.
The thread that runs through Lingsch’s career is steady work in juvenile proceedings. He has navigated detention hearings, adjudicatory trials and dispositions. His path has kept him inside public defender offices and the juvenile courts of metro Atlanta. Those settings demand quick legal judgment, clear courtroom presentation and regular interaction with families, guardians and social service providers. Lingsch’s resume reflects repeated frontline work rather than a shift into unrelated areas of law.
Today he lists Georgia Children s Defense, LLC as his office. He is admitted to practice in Georgia and continues to handle matters that arise in the juvenile system. His current work involves representing young people in delinquency cases and related proceedings at the county level.
